you also def have to take into account the cultural aspects, progressive democrats inherently do better outside of the South which is another point for Aftyn Behn. she only won the primary in the first place because of moderate infighting (this is why the DNC is suddenly cool with RCV, by the way)

so either the GOP is so cooked in 2026 that it's gonna make 2018 look like a blue ripple by comparison OR somebody will eventually have to admit that democrats that don't agree with the GOP on every issue can actually still win elections. you have to make it make sense somehow.
