The same pressures that have you desperately trying to make a success out of your game are the same pressures that have driven games media into the ground. It's all victim to the same economic crisis. There's no conspiracy, no lack of interest. Everyone is just broke af

I was initially intending to just do impressions of Absolum but I suddenly wrote two pages and it became a review. Whoops. Anyway, Absolum's great and I think anyone that loved Streets of Rage 4 will likely love this. www.restart.run/articles/abs...
Absolum Review: A Must-Play for Fans of Streets of Rage 4 | Restart
The roguelite beat ‘em up has a lot of the genre’s best in its DNA, but it’s at its most interesting and compelling when it veers away from what’s been done.

It is funny to be making an update with added content for a game where the parting message is that people deal with grief by delaying ending things and that might not be healthy.

So I bet that they try to develop a game generated by AI, it does not work, so they use people for cut-rate salaries (or don’t pay them at all), don’t credit them, and pretend the AI made it.

I’ve had people claim my work is AI because I use em-dashes. I’m not offended because I know it’s not, but it does suck and it does make them look like a dumb asshole and I don’t want it to suck for someone else and don’t want to look like a dumb asshole.

Professionally? If I can’t confirm it and no one involved says it is, I don’t even want to hint at it. I’d prefer not to be part of an unfair snowball on something if I’m wrong.

Reviewed Consume Me! Not a huge fan of how it ends, but the concept and sheer personality here make it worth playing regardless. I had to review Baby Steps AND Hades 2 last week, so I'm really glad I found the time to play this game too.

This is why the Xbox series consoles were codenamed Scarlet, because they were the second prong of their gaming strategy, with Azure on the other side. One hardware-based initiative, one cloud-based one, both working in concert.
