I proposed to Alyssa today and she said yes! Shout out to @itshugosnook.bsky.social for designing this fantastic Wingspan parody! It’s her favorite board game, and I MAY have lied and told her I was expecting a review copy for a new expansion in the mail. She doesn’t seem too mad about it.

It is extremely funny to me that Erika Ishii said this in a year she was the protagonist in a major video game

I knew I could trust Charles. The ghost opening is so much faster than so many other games. Thank god for that.
I will say! Ghost of Yōtei has a very good/efficient intro. It’s obviously very long, but you get into the action and free open world very quickly. One of the better openings of the year, imo.

Also I tried Roottrees on a whim after give to the max and basically binged it in like 5 days, so good

Bro, how did we just discover a THIRD one-hit kill mechanic in this game 😭

This game looks really cool!
Erosion is a twin-stick shooter with a time traveling twist. After a private press preview with the development team, we think it looks promising: gameinformer.com/preview/2025...

You can buy a Game Informer in a store soon! We are very excited about this! Wahoo!

People have asked about newsstand issues for years, and our response was always, "that would be great, but it's more complicated than you'd think." I'm very glad we were finally able to find a way to make it work.
Coming this December: Game Informer will be available in major retailers – including @barnesandnoble.com, GameStop, WH Smith, Books-A-Million and more – in the US and internationally. Learn more: gameinformer.com/letter-from-...

This is the main reason why huge companies going out of their way to make AI generated stuff is so weird to me. Even if I was pro AI art, the whole point is that anyone can easily generate it. You spent millions of dollars for trained artists to make a beautiful game; why also sell the shortcut?
My logic is, if you can't be bothered to make an asset yourself why should I be bothered to care about it/collect it 🤷
Activision says it uses AI tools in Call of Duty to "empower and support" developers.

Hotel had a “gratitude tree” so I put Toaster’s name up there. Really looking forward to all the people who don’t know it’s my dog’s name (99% of people) thinking someone’s really into kitchen appliances.

Anxiety-posting works so well. Every time I’m super nervous about something I complain about it in a public forum and then it’s fine. Literally the fewest people in line for TSA I’ve ever seen.

People that do remote play or cloud gaming: are you able to reduce lag enough that it’s something you don’t notice, or are you just able to adapt and ignore it? I want to be able to use my PlayStation Portal more often but the input lag just drives me nuts, especially with twitchier games

I revealed this during the GI Show this week and @itsvanaken.games and I had a hard time explaining Yung Gravy’s vibe to @marcusstewart7.bsky.social, who had never heard of him. The closest Alex got is “he’s a rapper who likes older women”
Why am I just now learning Golem in Dispatch is voiced by Yung Gravy lol
