just realized the dril drunk driving tweet also works for regular driving
wint @dril
drunk driving may kill a lot of people, but it also helps a lot of people get to work on time, so, it;s impossible to say if its bad or not,

We're so very excited to have André Arko (@indirect.io) with us today presenting what makes and keeps an app production-ready.

... and I hear he'll be back on the stage for lightning talks too!

I agree it is very unfortunate. At this point, I'm really much more interested in building new things and moving forward, so I appreciate your interest and engagement. <3

thank you for reporting this. so far we have a dedicated #gem-coop channel in the Bundler slack, would be happy to talk to you there: join.slack.com/t/bundler/sh...

Ruby Central told me directly that they have chosen to exclude some former maintainers, including me, from the operator agreements. As far as I am aware, none of the former maintainers have had any permissions restored.

we have some ideas, but I'd love to hear about your ideal funding model

we finished the technical work before finishing edits and consensus on the governance docs. they'll be live soon.

A generational fumble by Ruby Central is now complete.

Anyway, I'm happy that the people who disagreed decided to get up and Do Something By Coding. I love to see that and can 100% get behind it 👍

the reason I advocate for projects to have a code of conduct is because harassment is never okay. not only is harassment never okay, harassing families and coworkers is even worse. get out of here with that.

Ruby community: Look, we can be angry about what's happening, we can raise our complaints, but under no circumstances should anyone _ever_ harass someone's families, coworkers, or friends.

That is completely unacceptable, and wholly against the ethos of the language. We must do better.

I mostly experience atonal screaming at linker options so this sounds rad as hell

a C shanty is what you sing while you wait for a gem with native exensions to compile, right

noisebridge has a sailorhg mural nowadays, how did you prophesy so accurately without keeping up with noisebridge for the last ten years

my understanding is that some people felt Ruby Together owned RubyGems and Bundler (despite clear statements from Ruby Together to the contrary), and those people feel that ownership transferred to Ruby Central in the merger (despite the merger agreement clearly saying maintainers keep projects)
indirect.io
what I meant was “Ruby Central is a backing organization that organizes fundraising and provides funding to some maintainers of this project, which has its own governance”. If you look at the commit, you can see I am updating from Ruby Together (who similarly did not own the project) to Ruby Central

The WORST thing about getting published by Devolver is that we had to get rid of this

thanks! I really appreciate the feedback, and it matches what we realized internally that led us to change to the current wording.
