Today I wrote about what it means to write a free newsletter with voluntary subscriptions, and the delicate gift that it is to have a readership, and re-shared 12 essays from the year that was.

Even more telling, *the intro to the Vox podcast* casually drops in the fact (the only primary source I can find cited in any of this) that, while women now publish more books than men, MEN ARE STILL PUBLISHING MORE BOOKS NOW THAN THEY EVER HAVE BEFORE.

There is MORE room now, not less.

Fact | You can't write something predicated in the utterly ludicrous assumption that white men are being excluded from publishing unless you are racist.

This atheist is gonna come right out and say Bob here is The Best To Ever Do It
In his first Christmas Day address, Pope Leo XIV highlighted conditions in Gaza, saying its inhabitants “have nothing left and have lost everything,” as he called for peace talks to end conflicts around the world, including those in Africa and Ukraine.

Yeah, people are dumb as rocks, lol.

Like, no doubt, at the end of the day, our man Bob is Catholic, so him and me are ALWAYS gonna disagree on some core tenets of the nature of morality and existence. But he seems primarily motivated by reducing suffering and encouraging justice. I respect that.

creo, como aviso, que Epic les paga licencia a todos los juegos, aunque nosotres no lo hagamos. lo descubrí después, pero eso

Kinda interesting: so I have talked to several kids under 12 from different parts of the US, and none of them were familiar with Pig-Latin. Which is a bit of a bummer since there's evidence it goes back to the 16th century or earlier. In general, there's almost no "kid-cant" familiarity.

@arbitorian.bsky.social I don't want to be that guy (I kind of do), but you didn't mention the 2023 Red Gobbo mini in the video, and I'm kind of sad because it's the only one I've managed to get and paint completely and I'm very happy with how he looked
