Back pain isn’t as big a mystery as people think.

You get it.

It's true. I had horrible back pain, then read "A Modest Proposal".

At the end, I realized, "He's not being serious!"

Back pain gone.

It would be neat if there was some sort of back pain expert with combined knowledge and experience who could take all that into account.

Oh well, guess we’ll just have to rely on AI chat bots 😉

Those can all be of benefit. And if they’re the ways people find success, that’s great - exercise especially, as it’s relatively cheap and accessible.

Unfortunately many people who are diligent with those strategies still find little relief.

So it can be good to look beyond biomechanics.

Ya I have two accounts now.

One where I can be silly funny.

And another where I can be professionally silly funny.

I’m glad you don’t feel bad about not trying.

I’m sad you don’t feel bad about not trying.

And I can identify with you on both.

I feel seen by that account, and that post. I’m not sure why we’re not best friends yet?

Frequently I’ll ask someone if they feel like they’ve been heard/listened to on their path to figure things out. All too often they haven’t.

At the very least, listening to someone, believing them, taking them seriously, eases the stress of “another healthcare assessment”.

The combination of a good plan + good intervention + hope for a good outcome can be very powerful. And it sounds like that’s what you have :)

Also if your doctor prescribes laughter, look elsewhere. Low grade evidence, and definitely not the best medicine.

All the best.

Thank you, Tom. Unfortunately my services are bound within ON.

@erincandy.bsky.social I’m sorry for your pain and suffering. If I had a magic wand I’d send you a variety of favourite snacks. I wouldn’t fix your back pain though, as a new study shows magic wands aren’t an effective treatment.

Oh this was definitely a special splurge. Because you’re right, I was surprised at how expensive they were.

I like it.

Creative, and therapeutic.

Agree. Be honest, admit limitations, and support as best you can with the knowledge and tools you have.

For sure. Becoming more comfortable with uncertainty is a good skill, and mindset.
