The book begins and ends with foundational and reflective pieces. With 67 chapters exploring the topic from different perspectives that centre actors As can be seen from the photographs, this is a truly monumental achievement and will make a significant contribution to the field. 3/3

University term finished on Friday and the students have scattered far and wide for the holidays, but before that the Interpol society and the student diversity working group held a joint "Worldly Winter Party" event, meeting for an evening of crafting and a quiz with hot chocolate and biscuits.

...and sovereignty was restored in the Baltics, despite (or because of?) the Trump administration withdrawing the United Staes from NATO. Our crisis games have been prophetic in the past - we will see if that proves to be the case with the 2025 game! 4/4

Students got a firsthand taste of the complexity of grappling with grey zone activities, ambiguity, disinformation and volatile allies. By the end of the game, there was at least a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine... 3/4

With tensions running high and widespread anxiety about the possibility of a Russian incursion, the trigger event saw a seemingly independent group of Russian speakers take over parts of a city in a Baltic country and make a series of demands on the government. 2/4

They finished with a LEGO World-Making exercise- taking inspiration from each other's builds to co-create a Post-Development world model.  Students gave their experience with Lego Serious Play 10 marks out of 10, describing it as a great collective thought-exercise 3/3.

The students firstly built models to represent core concepts. They then started to build models that represented Post-Development, grounding their build in the post-development theories they have been learning. 2/3

Yesterday second year undergraduates taking the module "People and Power" were lucky enough to have @ninajankowicz.com as their guest speaker, on the subject of disinformation in the US media and politics. Nina gave a fascinating talk and answered the students' questions comprehensively.

Last night Professor Sharon Weiner gave a fantastic Kenneth Waltz Memorial Lecture about her research into decision making in the event of a nuclear crisis. Welcomed by Faculty Pro Vice Chancellor Patrick Finney and introduced by Jan Ruzicka, Prof Weiner delivered a memorable - and disturbing - talk

Last week @lucytaylor12.bsky.social spoke at a mini symposium on minority languages, held at @aberuni.bsky.social. The event discussed minority languages & AI, the Kabyle language spoken in Algeria and 2 minority languages spoken in Patagonia: Welsh and Mapuzungun, the Indigenous Mapuche language.
