Privileged to be at the launch of this exhibition celebrating the city's anti racism pioneers - many familiar to our building's community over the decades. Particularly in the face of sickeningly regressive racism from Robert Jenrick & others this week, this is affirming & well worth coming to see.

We have signed a joint letter calling on the Government to stop its efforts to proscribe Palestine Action. While we, like all FOE groups operates within the law we recognise the validity of NVDA & support the rights of others to participate in it.

We did it! We passed our Share Offer target and raised the funds we need to decarbonise the Warehouse. Thank you to all who invested or shared and to @cooperativesuk.bsky.social for match funding. The Share Offer is still open until noon on Friday if you planned to invest & didn't get round to it.

Got savings locked up in big banks? Why not invest some in our Share Offer to retrofit the @birminghamfoe.bsky.social Warehouse instead? We'll never invest in fossil fuel or arms companies. Share offer is only open for another three days, so don't miss out! Link in bio.

Opposing far right protesters in Birmingham.

They chose the steps of St Martin-in-the-Bull Ring for their ‘strike’, a church that is renowned for the support and sanctuary it offers to refugees (and is a participant in the Church of England’s Net Zero Programme).

Note antifascist protest 17th May. Best way to fight fascists is to protest, not to pander to their policies, in case any national leaders are looking for tips.

There are just three weeks left to invest in our share offer. We're over halfway there thanks to 30 generous people, but we need your help to reach our target of £46,660.
Biscuit says, please 'tail' all your friends about our share offer so they can help us put solar panels on our 'woof' (pictured).

COP30 Mobilising Meeting

Guest speakers:
Angus O'Brien, Coordinator, Climate Justice Coalition
Leon Sealey-Huggins, War on Want

COP30 is set to be a major international moment, with many movements converging in Brazil and putting the climate crisis in the spotlight. Across Great Britain, our movements are getting organised to raise pressure on the government ahead of the summit in Belém and to mobilise in solidarity with the global climate movement.

A broad-based coalition of organisations and groups – from climate, environmental, trade union, faith and justice movements – is coming together to coordinate, mobilise and campaign in the months leading to COP30 and beyond.

Join us on Thursday 15th May to discuss how we can mobilise locally to make sure that Birmingham plays it’s part in the movement in 2025.

Thursday 15th May , 7pm
The Warehouse , Allison Street, Digbeth
All welcome
