So refreshing to see someone calling these shitrags what they are.
chops8592.bsky.social
Any leader on the left needs the spine to fight back against the rags as they ramp up the smear machine. Zack has it, together with a solid media strategy that can counter their nonsense

I'm never actually going to need to write another comment piece again am I?

The right wing shit rags are just going to keep recruiting for us.

Folks - want a better country?

"This is a political movement, led by people who hate migrants. Elliott Stanley was part of the summer protests aimed at targeting migrants. What people like him refuse to accept is that many people do not hold with their political views & not everyone wants their neighbourhoods covered in flags."

Mahmood and Starmer are “weaponising” the appalling Manchester synagogue attack to further restrict our right to protest. We can't let that happen.

Join us at 5pm on Thursday in Moseley to demand our government end's it's collusion with Israeli genocide.

Utterly beholden to lobbyists, staggeringly ignorant and dismissive of the natural world: Rachel Reeves might not look or sound like Donald Trump, but she is behaving very much like him. This government is even more of an ecological hazard than the Tories were.

No sudden rupture is now required for the far right to take power in this country. For what we're seeing is a steady normalisation of extremists by the Conservative and Labour Parties, BBC, Telegraph, Mail and others. A shift once considered unthinkable beings to look acceptable, even inevitable.🧵

Absolutely absurd. Are we expected to believe they'd be allowed to continue if they were JSO activists, or anyone else on the left engaging in peaceful protest?

Flags went up in Stirchley a few days ago & were taken down by local residents the same evening.

The men returned with a cherry picker and coned off parts of the road with police accompanying them as they put up new flags along the High Street.

Residents who object have been met with verbal abuse.

A lot of flags were taken down last night apparently. Stirchley is without doubt the frontline of resistance to compulsory flagging in Brum!

When it comes to intimidating racist protests including outside our homes or place of worship, Black and Asian people are supposed to just accept it and the government saying “we hear you” and “it is right to protest this” and “I love flags me”. No thought of “cumulative impact” for us!
peterwalker99.bsky.social
NEW: Home Office announces planned new anti-protest powers, mainly aimed at pro-Gaza protests like those for Palestine Action. Police will be able to consider the "cumulative impact" of repeated protests and potentially order that they be relocated.

Brilliant effort from the Circle the City riders last night. 🌧💨 It was chucking it down and blowing a gale, but that didn’t stop them pedalling on. 💪

Had the government said "as a mark of respect, we'd like you to cancel football matches, concerts etc AND protests today", then fair enough. But to single out the protest they've long wanted to stop anyway as the one thing we should not do looks like disgraceful exploitation of a horrific attack.

"Palestine remains the story"

As a protestor is carted off by police for holding a sign against genocide and the Palestine Action ban, she states that genocide in Gaza remains the story.

We won't be silenced whilst our government is participating in murdering Palestinians.

BREAKING: Over a thousand people gather in Trafalgar Square to oppose genocide and the Palestine Action ban.

Police have already started arresting peaceful protestors under the Terrorism Act for silently holding signs which say "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action"

Labour's attempts to use this despicable attack to further their ambitions and agendas marks another low. Please send your very best to run in Birmingham Ladywood when the time comes.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social is asked about the Home Secretarys comments that yesterdays protests about Israels actions were dishonourable (she also said they were unBritish).

Zack is spot on.
