I say this with the bluntness it requires: they will get people murdered if this continues. This is not just populism anymore either: it’s completely unhinged and a deliberate choice that does endanger lives. I am not saying this lightly at all.

I will say this till I’m blue in the face the Windrush generation the vast majority English speaking, Christian or atheist, with fairly high rates of marrying people from other cultures* (hello) meet all your integration tests but got totally fucked over in many ways. So spare me.

My white grandad used to live in what is now a Pakistani area in Manchester. Some white folks moved out after they saw a few brown faces, others for life in the suburbs as prosperity increased as inner city living was not desirable

Conservatives and Reform plan to forcibly expel large numbers of people who are legal, permanent residents of migrant origin. The BNP proposal is voluntary.

Midlander - Londoner, & wannabe Mancunian here. I lived & worked in Soho & watched the decline. It was my favourite place in all of London when I first moved. 6 months in Manchester. It makes me feel even sadder for Soho, but selfishly, happy that I moved somewhere that gives a shit about community
