In the current climate of far right hostility, Jenrick is actively inciting violence against these judges with this. Badenoch may have defended his explicit racism yesterday, but this alone should see him lose both his position as shadow justice secretary and the whip immediately.

The people putting these flags up aren't a grassroots movement, they're being astroturfed via Tommy Robinson and Turning Point by US Christian Nationalist money, and the second their message starts to get lost you'll see all those flags replaced by British Movement or BNP or Britain First ones.

The Handsworth neighbourhood (encapsulating the Lozells and East Handsworth ward) is located just over 2 kilometres north of Birmingham City Centre. It is one of the most densely populated areas of Birmingham. This frequently leads to overcrowding (nearly 1 in 5 households compared to less than 1 in 10 for England), and with several generations of the same family often sharing the family house. Housing is mainly in older terraces (46.9% of all property compared to 29% for Birmingham and 25% for England) with small backyards and opening straight on to the pavement at the front (Birmingham City Council, 2012).

Jenrick thinks that Handsworth isn't integrated because he didn't see a white face. But, there were 170 nationalities moving into Handsworth between 2007 and 2011. That's pretty damn integrated.

He needs to understand that people do not put themselves in slums. A place becomes a slum through landlord neglect.

I lived in a slum as a child. It got condemned and we moved into a lovely 1930s council terrace.
