Individual psychotherapy doesn't have to locate the problem as individual in nature.

We must locate the problem and the solution in the collective!

Taught the teen about how police officers can't be held personally liable and blew his mind. Feeling pretty good about myself as a parent. Lemme tell you. Covering the important stuff.

Would read an entire think-piece on Kat Williams choosing to call Michelle Obama ma'am in their recent podcast together.

Man, those were the days. When there were almost endless essays on the internet.

The kitty will not hang out in my bed, as her and the dog have both decided that's his space, but she will hang out in the teens bed and let me cuddle her there. Fine. A compromise. I guess.

Thanksgiving leftovers rules:
I'm warming up my leftovers in the oven in a small stainless steel saucepan every night. I want the edges and the bottom of the Mac and cheese / stuffing etc to get all crispy. I want gravy over everything. I'm squeezing fresh lemon over it all to freshen it up.

I want to be reading a new book, but when I try my brain is just mad that the new book is not the old book. Brain doesn't want to go to a new world!

This is Seattle’s best Pictorial Map from 1891. The city’s population was just 43,000 people. The hills hadn’t yet been regraded, nor the flats infilled, nor the canal dug.

The teen refused to play my "look how cool the sky is" game the whole long drive out to the peninsula and then he didn't want to play "look how cool the Xmas lights are" on the way home.

It's fine guys. I'm totally fine.

Made a tupperware of balsamic cranberry sauce for me and a separate one for everyone else so now I'm gonna go eat mine straight out of the container in front of the fridge as god intended as a late night snack.

YES
6. WSLE needs to be viewed as not a dead end, but as phase one for going thru White Center/Burien to SeaTac. This means visualizing a whole different urban environment for the peninsula than the one that exists now, with capacity for density dramatically increased that's almost hard to imagine now.

There's a hummingbird in my yard and it's days until everything freezes over. Oh tiny hummingbird with a tiny body! How are you going to make it thru the winter? Would you like to come live inside my warm house like the feral cat does? Probably not. Alas

I could request the fancy $400 quilt from my partner for Xmas but we share finances and so then it's kinda like I'm paying for it and it's just tooooo much for me to do that.

I have answered the many emails,
that were in the inbox,
and dressed for the many chores,
of the afternoon.

Forgiving myself for the delay—
they were so tedious,
so difficult,
and so unsparing.

Now I'm crossing my fingers,
for an afternoon's errands;
perhaps some good news,
and some warmth.
