Autistic people have been saying this for YEARS.

This is why it’s so critical to listen to directly impacted voices in every field - truly, these abusive practices aren’t serving anyone but if autistic voices had been centered, so much trauma could have been avoided.

The cynicism I hear from the private sector about folks in government is so strange to me. I worked on the state level, but the other government workers I met were the most dedicated, committed, idealistic people I’ve known.
For some reason, very few people these days will stand up and say it, but: the US federal bureaucracy is one of the great wonders of the world, staffed with incredibly diligent people who do their jobs well and care deeply.

Trump's destruction of the federal apparaus was a historic crime.

Donald Trump’s destruction of the civil service is a tragedy not just for the roughly 300,000 workers who have been discarded, but for an entire nation.

Oh man. It would be terrible if people started following Bovino around and playing Baby Shark. It would be terrible because he would hate it, and it would probably become his theme song, and it would make his Nazi in a long coat cosplay all the more ridiculous.

So no one should do that.

I wrote a quick blog post in 2014 titled "police reforms you should always oppose." It went viral and became the basis of a chart created by Critical Resistance to evaluate abolitionist steps. Money for training and body cams were the first two on my list.

I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

The Trump-Vance administration just used your taxes to pay for an ICE agent to do this to a 21-year-old kid, who was only protesting because another ICE agent killed a mother of three, who was only there because ICE agents are kidnapping your neighbors

Flashbangs burn hotter then lava.

They've caused serious burns, severed hands, and even killed.

*That's* what ICE just tossed into a car full of kids.

Here's the thing, that can mean 'a bruise' — it just sounds much more dramatic to call it "internal bleeding to the torso"
