Based on the thesis of my brilliant student Lucia from @ccniuofg.bsky.social @uofglasgow.bsky.social, we see that gendered language (Italian) can be a painful source of non affirmation for non binary people. We also make some suggestions for how to improve their experiences and create safer spaces 🙏

✅ It's hard to separate direct screen effects from reduced access to other activities or socioeconomic challenges.
✅ But interaction and passive viewing differ, and that matters.

📌 Passive exposure can affect brain areas for vision & language, but effects are strongly moderated by socioeconomic status and/or parental education.
