Nero would be proud.

On the ICE shooting.

1. It's terrible.

2. Too many disturbed people have access to too many guns in this country.

3. Too many political figures use incendiary and dehumanizing rhetoric. By far the most significant of them is the president. The fish of political violence rots from the head down.

Meta is building a data center in Wyoming that will use more electricity than all the homes in the state COMBINED.

This will cause electric bills to skyrocket.

Oh, and destroy the planet at the same time.

This is what happens when there is zero accountability for Big Tech.

It is absolutely insane to me that we're having a debate over whether or not the rightwing deploys violent rhetoric within days of a Fox News personality calling for homeless people to be killed by lethal injection. There is no excuse for this obliviousness. It's unacceptable.

For the record.

My posts were not even about Kirk directly, but about America's apathy towards political violence, and the coddling of white male shooters and hate peddlers.

I was fired because I mentioned race: white men and violence-- that was my "gross misconduct."

So let me get this straight: Karen Attiah gets fired for posting Charlie Kirk’s actual words, while Charlie Kirk has flags flown at half-mast for saying those words?

The Washington Post is an ally of fascism.

We can be morally outraged by an assassination and at the same time acknowledge that Charlie Kirk’s racism and misogyny were immoral. Whitewashing his behavior and beliefs betrays the collective by masking how we got to this place in America.

once again it is not fucking normal to lower flags in oregon for random member of the opposing political party who was born in illinois, lived in arizona, and died in utah. this is not a normal thing they're extending to a white supremacist, it's a special thing they're doing for a white supremacist

Charlie Kirk wasn’t a political activist.

He was a hate-monger masquerading as an activist.

Wanting gays to be stoned to death isn’t a political position - it’s hate.

Saying George Floyd had it coming and Derek Chauvin should be pardoned, isn’t a conservative position - it’s hate
