Should culture fit be a factor in hiring, or is tech skill sufficient?

To me, software development is first and foremost a social activity performed by humans, with all the baggage that comes with being human. Technical competence is nice, but it is not the core of who we are.

Interesting on why wargaming/modelling shows optimal missile load of a naval drone to be 16-32 missiles. Less and it can't do damage to a defended target. More and the drone becomes too big, easier to spot & can't fire all the weapons before being hit. www.hudson.org/defense-stra...
