Lies on top of lies.

On Social Security’s 90th birthday, Trump brags about “protecting” it — while plotting to slash benefits and raise the retirement age.

Classic billionaire playbook: squeeze working people, shower the rich.

90 years ago, the Social Security Act was signed into law, creating a safety net that has lifted millions of Americans out of poverty and allowed them to pursue the American dream.

Today, Trump continues to attack these earned benefits. I’ll keep fighting to protect these lifeline programs.

Being unhoused is not a crime. Clearing encampments and locking people up will do nothing to solve the real problem of homelessness.

My Housing Not Handcuffs Act would stop these actions on federal land. Congress must pass it. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...
D.C.’s homeless begin to see the effects of Trump’s crackdown
As the Trump administration begins to clear encampments, many homeless individuals told The Post they had few options for places to go.

Trump’s Treasury Secretary has admitted that the GOP tax law has “a backdoor to privatizing Social Security.”

Republicans are still scheming to steal away our hard-earned & hard-won Social Security. Democrats are fighting to protect & enhance the benefits Americans have relied upon for 90 years.

Flagstaff knows the stakes: Trump’s regime is snatching people off the streets, attacking universities and the free press, ripping away health care from millions of Americans, and Eli Crane is cheering it on.

We won’t back down.

As Trump increasingly acts like a dictator, our solidarity is more important than ever.

We need to link arms and stand up for facts, for free press, for our neighbors, and for democracy.

Given how the U.S. tore up the Iran Nuclear Deal, which was the best way to actually prevent nuclear weaponization, this war is not really about Iran's nuclear program at all; it's about Washington using Israel to weaken the strongest regional power opposing U.S. hegemony.

From the 1950s through the 1970s, the U.S. played a major role in the development of Iran’s nuclear program, providing Iran with technical assistance and supplying the country with nuclear reactors, complete with enriched uranium and plutonium with fissile isotopes.

This book is riveting and so, so infuriating. It follows 5 families in Atlanta who are struggling to remain housed and paints deeply compassionate portraits of each unit. It reads almost like a novel but is outstanding journalism

Kristi Noem is seen as a "delicate, beautiful, tiny woman" while leading DHS, yet Rep. McIver was arrested for protesting it, and Sen. Padilla was tackled for even questioning it.

It's clear who gets to be “delicate, beautiful, and tiny,” and who is seen as a violent threat to law enforcement.
