This seems like an awfully good question from Senator Ron Wyden about DOGE:

“If they were really continuing a routine audit of the payment system, why did the nonpartisan official who managed the system for years get forced out when Musk’s hatchet brigade showed up?”
The most senior career official at Treasury was purged after protesting the access that DOGE officials had secured. Why would that have happened if this were an innocent expansion of a previous process?

And here are some other unanswered questions:

Want to see advertisers lose MILLIONS this Sunday? A record-setting low for viewers during the Super Bowl would do that.

Money talks and bullshit walks.

They should read aloud the January 6 Committee report for every single filibuster. If not, Dems are not doing it right.

I would really like to hear from Rashida Tlaib and the leaders of the Uncommitted Movement. Acknowledge that you made a mistake. You have an opportunity right now to call for for unity amongst progressives and liberals and anyone who wants to fight against Trump.

Never forget that he could have stopped this. In the aftermath of J6, he could have ensured Trump could never be president again by whipping votes to impeach.

That failure is McConnell’s legacy.

It’s been two weeks and Trump and his cronies have already turned the US into an international pariah.

The Trump administration has the gall to call all undocumented immigrants "criminals" regardless of whether or not they have past convictions, and yet pardons these criminals? The hypocrisy is beyond belief.

It's wild to see in conservative circles the praise of Karoline Leavitt's performance during this week's White House briefing. Her statements were dangerous and the lack of context was egregious.

Trump put a freeze on hiring air traffic controllers and, on Musk’s instruction, fired the FAA chief early without replacing him.

This should be the only thing Dems are saying today. They should all be out on media saying this.

Federal workers take the following oath of office:

“I, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

I hope every federal employee refuses the buyout.

According to @reuters.com, House Republicans are divided over how to pay for Trump's tax cuts "with hardline conservatives determined to reduce an annual federal deficit approaching $2 trillion." Trump's 2017 tax cuts led to $1.9 trillion in federal debt. A problem of their own making.
House Republicans divided over how to pay for Trump’s tax cuts
The Republicans need near-total unity as they prepare to vote on a fiscal 2025 budget resolution—a critical step toward passing Trump's agenda of tax cuts, border and immigration reform, energy deregulation and increased military spending.
