I know everyone is excited about Indiana rebuffing Trump.

But in the redistricting wars started by Republicans, Democrats cannot get caught up focusing on November 2026. It is January 3, 2029 that matters the most.

I explain why in my free Substack today.

Democrats’ redistricting efforts must focus on January 2029 to avoid another Trump insurrection
Under the Twentieth Amendment, new congressional representatives will be seated three days before the next January 6th - Democrats must do everything they can to win seats before then

She is 22 years old and has a U.S. birth certificate

ICE detained her for -25 days- and now is being forced to wear an ankle monitor by ICE because they question her citizenship status

Only going get the most dangerous criminals …
Sunday, at least 7 ICE agents stormed a house and took an elderly man out into the freezing cold, wearing only his underwear and a blanket.

He was a member of the Hmong community, which came to the area from Laos in the 1970s after siding with the US in the Vietnam War.

Pew Research Institute (2023):

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

Politicians & some media outlets have latched onto a narrative that recent immigrants, especially undocumented, are causing spikes in crime.

Research does not support the view. In fact, immigrants might have less law enforcement contact compared to native-born Americans.

Data does not support claims that the United States is experiencing a surge in crime caused by immigrants.

NOEM: 70% of them

B: It's not 70%

N: Yes it is. You guys pick and choose numbers

B: Your agency says 47% have criminal convictions

N: Wrong again. We'll get you the correct numbers

B: Well, that's from your agency

💯 true. This is the problem.

I see little difference between clemency for Peters and pardoning J6 insurrectionists. Except she was in a position to do far more, lasting institutional damage.
You absolutely cannot separate the possibility of clemency for Tina Peters from stuff like this. Every individual act of defiance by state and local Dems raises the cost and degree of difficulty of federal coercion. Every concession normalizes it and incentivizes more, across the board.
Breaking news: The Justice Department has issued subpoenas for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as part of an investigation alleging that they are impeding federal law enforcement officers’ abilities to do their jobs in the state.
