So the next thing we will hear from the GOP is how Iran's government is committing atrocities in the streets. Like shooting protestors and putting all the dissidents in gulag and throwing pregnant women to the ground. The cognitive dissonance is going to implode their brains.

Some mornings I wake up wondering if I could have done more. Could I have seen the problem sooner. Could I have gotten her different doctors. Could I have encouraged her to work harder. In the end the answer is yes to all of that. But in reality we just do what we can.

The hardest part is accepting that this damage is permanent. The sense of shared community is broken, maybe beyond repair in our lifetime. People we spent years rejecting have power, & the resentment they’re unleashing is changing us all. I’m having a hard time with that. I know I’m not alone.

Patiently waiting in my (his) office chair while im dealing with the insomnia from the flu I've had since Dec 6th. 2 trips to the DR. The last trip the DR put me on the hard core antibiotics and 3 days later I am finally feeling better. Worst flu ever. Now to get my hours adjusted again.

For the coming year I have only one wish. I spent Christmas Eve in bed in a fetal position shivering with a heating pad, wondering if the flu was gonna kill me. My wish is I don't get the flu this coming year. At 66 I have been sick before but this was the worst I've ever experienced. #superflu
