On current form should we consider ourselves in the relegation fight?
It strikes me that there are two different discussions.
The style of play and the effectiveness of the team. While linked these are not the same.
The main issue is that this is not working, AT ALL.
A secondary issue is that it's also shit to watch.

'the players aren't good enough to be Brentford' is certainly a take.
Picking the team in inverse order of passing ability and choosing to bring in our worst midfield passer in the summer when that was a clear weakness is making us look terrible. That and the overall tactical approach.

It would be very spurs to win convincingly tonight, in a fixture none of us would be confident in even if we were flying at the top of the table.

I fear that Tottenham are basically as bad right now as they were in January/February, but with less mitigation, less credit in the bank for the manager, and without the sense of shared purpose provided by the Europa League campaign.

'When Maddison returns'. Maddison is 28 and will have had a season out to ACL, if you think he's close to the player he was before jan 2027 you're going to be disappointed.

Oh the plus side we've found a way to score without ever having the ball in the opposition third, so maybe that's repeatable?

I'd be prioritising finding a Director of Football whose ethos fits the club. We have some decent players but it is all so scattergun and we are loaded with some profiles and completely missing others. We need to decide how we are going to play and sign managers and players who fit that

With the previous manager we criticised him for persisting with playing out and trying to press during an injury crisis and without the players or fitness to do so. With this manager im watching us ping inaccurate passes to an isolated striker, and continually back off without elite box defenders.

Yes, agree with that. There are things that were wrong with our defence that could do with being fixed, but it would need to start with acknowledging that we have one of the best starting back 5's in the league and the defence was perfectly fine when all or most of them were playing.

Watched the original running man yesterday, and i can safely say as someone that used to watch a lot of 80s & 90s action movies that running man has since of most bonkers shit I've ever seen, peaking with guy covered in LEDs with dubious mid European accent who shoots lightning.
