Fantastic news!
The same people in DC who got us into this mess are not going to be the ones to get us out of it.

Today I'm announcing my campaign for U.S. Senate.

Because we don't have a minute to wait.

I won't be watching tonight. I don't need the stress and I want the ratings to be awful.

This is my first snowstorm as a southerner. I do have to admit, it's a nice sight and I understand why y'all were rooting for snow.

While I don't have a vote in this race, I encourage those who do to support Anderson Clayton's re-election! Despite a challenging national environment, Democrats did quite well here in North Carolina - a testament to Chair Clayton's leadership and ability to bring organization & energy to the party.
Today, I’m beyond proud to announce I’m running for re-election as Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party.

In 2024, we made incredible wins for our state, even as the nation fell to a right wave. Together, we will continue to fight for a new South.

We are saddened to learn of the death of President Carter. President Carter’s legacy extends beyond his 4 years serving in office, but also includes his post-Presidency work to build democratic institutions throughout the world.

We offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Not that I have a vote, but I believe that @benwikler.bsky.social is the best choice to serve as Chair of the DNC. He has a proven record of winning in Wisconsin, understands the value of a 50-state strategy, and has experience organizing.
Democrats fight on the side of working people—across race and ethnicity, gender and generation, in rural areas and cities and small towns and suburbs alike.

But right now, a lot of voters aren’t seeing that.

Communicating year-round—on every medium—is key to winning.

As someone who loves history & follows the stock market, I highly recommend listening to this (and every episode) of the @myhist.bsky.social podcast. It's amazing to me that the crash happened - and that it took another 59 yrs for the circuit breaker to be created.

Local government has never been more important. It is my hope that elected officials & citizens will join together to embrace collaboration over alienation. The path to greater unity, a restoration of civil discourse, and good public policy starts closest to home.

I just returned from a quick trip to my home state of New Jersey. I always enjoy seeing people who are important to me there, and the Garden State will always be a part of who I am. But I returned grateful to call the beautiful city of Raleigh my new home!
