I was meant to be leatherworking today but had a very restless night running a work problem through my head. So I woke up feeling rough and have managed about an hour fixing security cams and working on the studio so I can start drumming again. #studio #caudapavonis #injuryrecouperation

Latest loaf made Thursday. Bread mix plus 160 water and 176 milk (to add flavour). Also 10% extra milk because it’s drier than water. Who knew. I do now. #breadmaking

Taste test last night. Win! But a very little spongy/doughy in the middle. Toast test this morning seems ok and some of the spongy/doughy texture seems to have gone. May have used the wrong loaf size on the settings meaning different phases of operation were too short or too long. #breadmaking

Whilst my mother was in hospital towards the end of her life in 1982/83 i used to commute from Telford to Wolverhampton with my brother Michael. I’d be dropped off, eat breakfast at home and then walk to school. At school day’s end I walked home to a cold house and then driven back to Telford.

Apparently the early morning noise was in fact some form of chainsaw cavalcade as the neighbours in the next street are having their garden re-landscaped. Just what we need to be surrounded by. Ignorant waterboard and ignorant contractors.

The sound of our first Christmas without dad who died earlier in the year. We were invaded by family and it felt false and forced. I was 10 that Christmas and only 9 when dad died.
"Mull of Kintyre" was at No. 1 on 5 Dec 1977. It was written by Paul McCartney & Denny Laine in tribute to the Kintyre peninsula and its headland, the Mull of Kintyre. It was Wings' biggest hit & is one of the best selling singles of all time in the UK. #PaulMcCartney #RIPDenny

Day 4 of roadworks. They have continued into the street behind us and tarmac cutters instead of heavy drills punctuate the mornings dawn chorus like a couple of angry giant wasps. Apart from the unexpected visit from the gas board who were convinced the water board had cut us off, all’s quiet ish.
