It is very annoying that people assume trans women voice actresses will "refuse to voice a male character."

I've heard this sentiment from cis working professional AND from fan communities.

It's not true. At all.

We, trans women VAs, will happily take those roles.

It's -acting-. It's a -role-.

If you're not sure what characters a trans person feels comfortable voicing, just ask!!

"Hey! Can you remind me what ages and genders you're comfortable portraying?"

Some trans folks who appear binaried still identify as non-binary and you might not know!

Please don't assume for us + lock us out!

A few months ago, I submitted my performance in Margaret Killjoy's THE SAPLING CAGE for consideration in PANA's Narrator of Distinction award. Today, they announced the finalists...and I made the cut!

Many thanks to the lovely folks at PANA and a huge congratulations to the rest of the finalists!

Just finished “The Sapling Cage” by @margaret.bsky.social & everyone should read it! As a transwoman who has been out as trans for 15 years, I can honestly say this has some of the most beautiful & incisive writing about transness I have ever encountered. All alongside of a compelling fantasy story!

I spent a year trying to find out who designed a fifty year old board game. Here's what I found out.

Hi, just a reminder that when you use Libro.fm for your audiobooks, you support independent bookshops vs. large corporations that drive them out of business.

We also pay taxes. And so do indie bookshops.

I ended up going through The Sapling Cage mostly via audio book as my physical was one that got very delayed but that was fine because the audio book is fantastic and was worth the splurge.

But nothing beats being able to toss it at folks. Especially as it’s something I really wish I had as a kid.

KOSA is deliberately designed to, and will be used to, ban all queer content online as "pornography" including helpful orgs such as Trevor Project and Trans Lifeline. Tell your reps to vote NO on this monstrosity.

Enjoyed @margaret.bsky.social 's The Sapling Cage! Great worldbuilding in all the factions — loved that there were authoritarian knights but also "antifa" ones. Big child liberation practices throughout. Fun magic and cosmology. 💖

Audiobook narrator @jackiemelocheva.bsky.social is TONS of fun. 😁
