This semi-autobiographical novel about a MARSOC raider was really heart wrenching. The protagonist went through some similar stuff to the shit I went through. Not a great feeling.

Seeing 7OCT (an evil attack, although on a foreign country) memorialized in the same vein as 9/11 is interesting. Like 9/11, elite interests want to codify the attack into our culture, and ultimately into our foreign policy, indefinitely.

Dating girls in Manhattan was interesting. More often than not, they seemed to have some edgy pseudo-intellectual take on politics or some "trendy" extracurricular activity. I think it is because of how competitive it is there, and how the prettiest girl in her hometown is just another girl here.
