Put Public Ownership of Water Back on the Table
Privatisation of water isn’t failing - it is the failure. The Government is mid-way through a major review of the water sector. But so far, it has refused to consider a potential solution that’s backe...

NATO needs to suspend the USA from NATO. The FIVE eyes intelligence service needs to remove the USA with immediate effect.

The USA has become Russia.

Now is the time for Starmer to step up and join the rest of Europe. Appeasing Trump will never work, peace at all costs is not acceptable. Bullying an elected leader for whom English is a second language on prime time TV is not the work of a respected world leader.

I hate the vitriol towards immigrants in the HoC. Too few politicians are prepared to stand up for their amazing contributions to our society or to defend those fleeing asylum. It’s utterly depressing.

I don’t know if he is guilty or not but Wallace should be advised to stop digging his hole any bigger. Middle aged, middle class women are all too often invisible and for their complaints to be dismissed as invalid by a petulant man child really shows his lack of awareness. Grow up and listen Gregg.

"Some 56% of farmland bought in 2023 was sold to landowners who were not working farmers.

The revenue per acre is too low to warrant the purchase, unless you are extremely wealthy and are avoiding inheritance tax."
Whose land? Tax avoidance and the broken economics of British farming
Noise in the billionaire press about inheritance tax changes hides a basic fact: the non-farming rich own too much land

I notice Andrea ‘finger’ Jenkyns has found her natural home. In the sewer that passes as the Reform Party.

Conservative MP Victoria Atkins says (of today’s farmer protests)

“The fact that they are coming to London, from all over the country, shows how worried they are”

Err, bloody millions of us went to London, from all over the country, multiple times about Brexit and you didn’t give a shit!!

RIP John Prescott. Labour Titan, old fashioned working class socialist and a necessary foil to Tony Blair’s New Labour.
We’ll never see his like again.

This is so true.

Month after month we fought to stop Brexit. No farmers joined us
Most voted for Brexit ~ lured by the prospect of more money/ laxer rules
Rich nobs like Clarkson, Dyson, hoovered up land to offset against tax
The enemy is Johnson/the supermarkets/ the FTAs with Australia. Not Starmer

Watching Vic Derbyshire take Jeremy Clarkson apart on the news this evening was like watching a blood sport. Something he claims to support. Not on this occasion I suspect. He looked slow, inarticulate and incapable of reasoned discussion. Like an old stag needing to be culled, past his expiry date.

New research from the IFS showing the closure of youth centres during the 2010s was shortsighted. For every £1 saved, the costs to affected users, crime victims and public spending in the police and the criminal justice system amount to £2.85

The resignation of Justin Welby was inevitable really. Churches of every denomination have covered up abuse for years helped by those at the top who really should have had enough moral integrity to expose it and stand up in court to denounce it. So many young lives ruined by abuse.

Well, I’ve finally moved away from the cesspool that is now Twitter. Hopefully I’ll start posting again without getting nonstop right wing comments on my feed.

I don’t mind a small tax increase if it goes on health, education and social care. I do mind if it gets thrown away on failed Ruandan projects, overpriced barges and Michelle Mones yacht.
Some how you just know the media will gloss over Tory theft and mismanagement.

The Tories really are in cloud cuckoo land. Thinking that Jimmy Dimly is actually likeable is laughable. Surely his nickname gives a clue that he’s not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. The trouble is, the barrel is barely half full of rotting fruit.

Twitter is so toxic now. I never see followers posts and I get bots by the bucket load. I don’t want to see right wing posts spouting hate. Anyway I’m back on here and hopefully can find my like minded follows.

I’m feeling a little bit worried that right wing agitators will hijack events today.
