Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

Suggestion: A strike of musicians, writers, hosts, actors, lighting, electricians--everyone, shutting down all TV studios, until Jimmy Kimmel is reinstated.

This is the kind of action we need, instead of sitting around just waiting to be gutted.

I sat down with Bernie in Astoria to talk about the lessons he learned—and the work ahead.

The shooter is still missing.
Where is he?
Why is Trump at a public event as if there’s not a killer on the loose?

The asymmetrical media response to political violence in America is, in itself, one of the most important contributing factors to how we arrived at this place of escalating political violence.

CNN is reporting that the suspect who shot Charlie Kirk did so from a university building 200 yards away.

If true, that means he was farther away than the Trump assassin in Pennsylvania and farther away than Lee Harvey Oswald was when he shot Kennedy.

Again, political violence has no place in this country.

I probably don’t agree with Charlie Kirk on a damn thing, but that doesn’t matter - he’s a husband and a father.

This is despicable and can’t become our new normal.

Celebrating political violence is bad. It usually encourages more political violence, against various targets.

Campus shootings are bad. They make everyone on campus less safe.
