The Mauser BK-27 usually has a home in the nose of the Eurofighter Typhoon or a JAS 39 Gripen.
Germany uses it as ship-mounted weapon, in the form of the MLG-27 Light Naval Gun, capable of 1700 RPM.
The latest 4.0 version will equip F126 Frigates.
