If Dune refuses to move and continues to claim the IMAX theatres, that’s Disney’s dumb loss. I do think #Dunesday will work out, but it will benefit Dune far more than benefit Avengers. Not saying Avengers won’t be #1, but losing IMAX will be a big dent.

Ellison having zero clue on how big a fanbase the Last Airbender has to justify a theatrical release is unsurprising. That said, if Paramount were to say “we’re pivoting their entire ugly 2026 slate to Paramount+ to avoid spending marketing costs and sweep more losses”, I’d believe it.
