From a breach being an 'open secret' to no breach whatsoever... what changed? Was the speculation, from multiple disconnected sources, that wildly wrong?

My colleague @matcoch.bsky.social believes greater transparency is needed. #F1

Why rumours of alleged cost cap breach highlight need for greater FIA transparency
The FIA's announcement of the 2024 cost cap findings contradicted strong allegations within the F1 paddock, and raised serious questions.

I've watched the FIA make lots of mistakes over the last 6 ish years (some of them serious) and they almost never admit a mistake was made.

Like, people are going to make mistakes. Own it and improve. I feel like I'm going insane.

How many cars would have speared across the grass at turn 1 Mexico if
a) there was a wall/gravel there?
b) it wasn't a chicane but just went right and carried on?

In either case they wouldn't have been able to "slot in where they were when they braked" so why is it fine if it's a chicane?

Brazil was the only place a sprint was entertaining.

I think F1 doesn't seem to understand it's just not a sprint format. It works through length and strategy, pace and nous.

Unless you bring some mad sprint tyres or make them use a spec fleet of small single seaters

Red Bull have been linked with four time Indycar champion Alex Palou for 2026, a driver much praised by former F1 weasel Will Buxton.

The move comes as Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies is believed to be eager to have a genuine four time champion in the senior Red Bull team.

The FIA have clarified that Yuki Tsunoda’s Red Bull is eligible for in season testing under Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) regulations.

Tsunoda is eligible since the most recent upgrade package to his car relates to unwanted parts originally used by Max Verstappen back in 2023.
