This again. Outdoors. Politics. Sport. Not always in that order. Labour. Trade Unionist. Trying to do community things. Views entirely my own
Anyways, this reminds me of a fight Kate and I are having over this which she says 'makes our home look like that of an old man' and I think is straight up beautiful (and fascinating)

(Ignore the wallpaper, it will go)

I'm not saying the Olympic slalom has become a bit of a farce...

But just under half the competitors didn't complete a run) and someone finished in the top 32 who was 9 seconds behind the leader. Normally you'd expect 2 seconds between them...

It is *very* funny that the UK (no snow) is now ahead of Canada, New Zealand, finland etc in the winter olympics medal table.

Come of the Great White North! Thought you were good at this stuff?!?

It *literally* does.

Thats what it is. A document which says youre British.

Quite amazing to put this paragraph 6 down in a article that is almost entirely about vibes and personalities, not policy.

No mention of workers rights, changing debt rules or what the govt has done. Just ad homen stuff

Was listening to this while running and:

A) its excellent
B) very nice if odd to hear the voice of someone you occasionally correspond with on here suddenly turn up
C) the british in india, well that was a cock up

On this note: this from @steveakehurst.bsky.social I saw the other week really struck me.

Its the literal embodyment of the 'I'm in danger' meme for a political party. To keep chasing Reform voters given it is.... a choice.

I'll admit instagram toplining this for me today is quite amusing

Also - this from Labour isnt great either: better than the Greens '% change' graph but this isnt polling and we shouldn't present it as such.

All sides should be better
February 12, 2026 at 9:21 PM
Thus is a fascinating graph, particularly when you consider national Labour contact rates.

Largely reinforces my belief Labour don't do enough leafleting and that our obsession with doorknocking is a negative

Lol

Too warm, too cold, Goldilocks will never be happy

I think I win the competation for the 'smallest number of famous people from your high school'
February 12, 2026 at 9:42 AM
This would be a strong critique, if it wasnt for the fact all of this is in Labour's manifesto.

You know what isnt? The sort of immigration reforms proposed in the white paper
February 11, 2026 at 8:27 AM
I hadnt seen it - I dont focus on Scottish politics - but I note Scottish Labour and Anas immediately apologised and contacted the person in question. I cant see any report of them continuing to deliver the leaflet.

Obviously it shouldnt happen

This is the march that the Bristol Patriots are presently promoting btw. The guys who 'Bristol anti-racists' want to team up with
