And just to round up this selection of churches visited in 2024, a few from Manchester in October. First, the wonder that is the Holy Name Church on Oxford Road (And yes, for any Smiths fans, it does have a stairway with banisters). 1/3

Mark Cavendish to pick up Lifetime Achievement award at the BBC Sports Personality event, after not making the shortlist for the annual winner.

Well deserved 👏👏👏
Deserved award, although "win" might be over doing it, especially in relation to the Singapore criterium..

OK the last list was missing MSR. Here's the updated one.

No stage races before TDF. Not clear yet if that's because they have been ring-fenced for other top riders at the team or if they might be added later.

100% agree with this. As a freelancer, especially one doing event work, social media is an important tool. And it’s the main way I have of promoting my own podcast (made in my spare time for free) too! Appreciate all follows, shares etc 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Now, more than ever, your favourite authors, historians, podcasters, vloggers, speakers, need you 🫵🏾.

Social media reach has been destroyed in the last year, and many from all fields have seen their visibility all but disappear. This has real life consequences.

Read. Review. Recommend. Repost.

Any fashion historians here, who can put this rather interesting 'chain' into context? Is it a one-off? I can't find anything comparable. The portrait dates to about 1826-35 and was painted in West Prussia.
