As a Moulton owner, this is not lost on me.

This morning I turned on my phone only to find that it had changed my user name to Shirley, and when I tried to enter a simple Google query it came out as "Do you like gladiator movies?"

Then I realised it was in Airplane! mode.

He just needs to drop the odd "shitcunt" into his vocab and he'd pick up a huge majority

There are some grant schemes for business cargo bike users, but it's obviously all patchy and inconsistent across the country. But from that end getting hold of a bike is trivial, utilising and integrating it effectively is the bigger challenge (along with storage etc).

"Too" cheap to lock people into multi year financial products. Motor manufacturing also can have huge economies of scale, they can sell loss leaders but tie people into a transport mode, and yes, I'm sure feeding a global second hand market also helps.

Dissonance: bikes are both expensive and cheap

If the same financing deals existed for bikes as they did for motor vehicles, they'd be everywhere. Car ownership or leasing is artificially cheap for many reasons, bikes have to reflect all costs. Weird world.

A 'what if' I occasionally ponder is if Oasis never got signed, would the space have been filled by The Verve, or even Ride? Both made absolutely astounding early 90's albums that got swept away by the easy to digest anthems of the Gallaghers, who did their best to beat up anything nuanced in indie.

This is appalling. It seems the parish council made a mistake, and some adults complained. And it's children and young people who lose out, with plans for a new play space pushed into next year at least.

It's the sound of children playing, FFS.

Making an equation like this and being a politician, either you're cynically politicking or a moral coward. Both likely. The law, not the people continues to be the problem. And this smooth faced idiot certainly doesn't represent the people.

Ben Houchen with possibly the worst take on freedom of speech I have ever heard. Apparently, it's like breaking in or stealing - you can do it but within limits. 😱

Some parents are letting their kids talk to ChatGPT in the guise of characters. Some are using it to tell bedtime stories or create coloring books.

"My son thinks ChatGPT is the coolest train loving person in the world. The bar is set so high now I am never going to be able to compete with that.”
‘My son genuinely believed it was real’: Parents are letting little kids play with AI. Are they wrong?
Some believe AI can spark their child’s imagination through personalized stories and generative images. Scientists are wary of its affect on creativity

Persistent issue with slobbish, but somewhat proud young men not disposing of their litter in the local park. Literally every day. Any tips for sorting but not being confrontational?
