Not only did Trump NOT get "a majority of the public" vote, he didn't even get a MAJORITY in the popular vote. The only way he gets a majority is if we ignore 2.9 million votes that went to other candidates. Trump didn't even break 50%.

Trump's 2024 win was average for presidential elections since 2000, below average for all presidential elections, and nowhere near a statistical mandate.

Contrary to what Elon Musk has to say, the GOP has actually moved further to the right than Democrats have to the left, and at a higher pace.
Senate GOP has moved 26% further to the right since 2003. 5% for Dems in the same timeframe.
