And again, once China, EU, Canada, find other countries to pivot their trade to because it’ll be less expensive for them, is another moment that our stock market is going to crash. Investors don’t like volatility.

More expensive trade, less trade, and fewer trade agreements = volatility.

Trump is on track to wipe out 35% within 65-70 days. We went from a bull market to a bear market inside of two weeks for two indices.

In 2021-2022 the NASDAQ dropped about 35% over the course of 9.5 months. Due in large part to post-Covid inflation. This wasn’t just a U.S. problem, but a global trend.

What “better deal” can you get from FREE TRADE, AND a trade SURPLUS. We were MAKING MONEY off of trade with them.

Trump trashed a deal from George W. Bush. And for what?

And another thing: don’t let anyone fool you into thinking that this is Trump trying to get deals. It isn’t. We’ve had a FREE TRADE agreement with Australia for 20+ years.

This is also why CONGRESS was given the authority to levy taxes, because they knew that such a power, when wielded through unitary executive authority, was too much and made despots out of people.

Once the rest of the world - who isn’t tariffing the **** out of each other - realize that they can work together and suffer a lot less out of it is the moment we are really going to be toast.

But that’s just based on averages. A lot of people are going to get screwed that haven’t received a raise in a long time.

People that lack adequate income are going to really suffer.

-In total, this is $483 billion
-OR, $2,867 *per working individual in America*
-That is approximately 6% of the *median* salary in America of $48,000 (2022)
-With an average annual raise in America at 3%, this 104% against China *alone* wipes out *2 years* of wage growth for the average worker

Here's some fun math:
-US Imports *from* China in 2023 were $438.9 *billion* dollars.
-104% tariff on *all* imports assuming 2023 volume is $456.5 *billion* in *taxes* on the *same* volume
-plus $26.59 billion more due to inflation in 2025 dollars (from 2023, which was about 6.06%)
