Was given a couple of wonderful allotment-grown pumpkins by a friend.
So... Seeds roasted with paprika and garlic...
And pumpkin pie, with a walnut/almond crust. Sweet and spicy. Served with whipped cream.

I have a flight this weekend and I’m more than a little concerned…
The shutdown affects us all:
• Air travel: TSA and FAA slowdowns = delays, canceled flights, less safe
• SNAP + WIC: Millions lose food assistance
• Farmers: No crop payments, disaster aid, market reports

Going nuclear with arts, culture and climate change
Last week, the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) announced the Ignace-Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation area as the selected site for Canada’s Deep Geological Repository (DGR) for used nuclear fuel. The rise in costs you’re feeling, it’s by design. Skyrocketing prices, government shutdowns, and fear mongering aren’t accidents, they’re part of a deliberate strategy to break our trust in government and keep power concentrated in the hands of a few.
