It's time consuming for them to fix this. Some markets will reject a story solely for use of tabs, so format your docs with indents instead.

I wish someone had pointed this out to me earlier, so I'm passing the knowledge along. Hope this helps someone.

Tabs and formatted indents are two different things. Using tabs to indent a new paragraph will lead to wonky formatting when editors open your work in their programs. 1/

I did the ‘1st draft is telling yourself the story’ thing, and now I am trying to puzzle piece that into a compelling story, and it is MESSY! but it’s also working.
