Grave of the Fireflies. A beautiful film, well done. It’s important and based on history but absolutely heartbreaking. Try to watch it once if you can but not with children. It’s animated so some might mistake it as a children’s movie.

Everyone likes different movies. I could relate to Lost in the Translation because it reminded me of a time I had just moved and there were all new people and I couldn’t relate to anyone. I felt so isolated. Then I found one person I could talk to.

The movie “AI Artificial Intelligence “. It was an excellent movie and really well done. It was absolutely heartbreaking so I don’t want to go on that emotional trip again.

No. I would not want that. Death is real and people need to accept that and cherish their memories.

But it isn’t real. It isn’t your dead grandmother. You are not speaking to her and it would be creepy if you actually were. Why would you ACTUALLY want to do that? Let the woman rest in peace.

The good movies are out there. The problem is that streaming and COVID has reduced going to theatres and broken up the monoculture. "Palm Springs" and "Micky 17" are brilliant but most of America likely doesn't know they exist.
