Amen.

Pet loss is real grief. Period. When an animal dies, you’re losing a friend, a routine, a source of safety and unconditional love at the same time. Your body doesn’t rank losses by species. If you’re wrecked, that reaction makes sense. #TruthBombTuesday #petloss

The best thing about The Muppet Show was the idea that there was a theatre full of critters performing a live vaudeville show every night, with a regular community to support them, and it happened to be accidentally televised.

And I think we all want to believe that life is possible.

The good movies are out there. The problem is that streaming and COVID has reduced going to theatres and broken up the monoculture. "Palm Springs" and "Micky 17" are brilliant but most of America likely doesn't know they exist.

This is our new CEO, Javier. I have officially adopted him. He is estimated to be 8 years old and he's deaf, so there's no need to give any feedback on his job performance. He is just a perfect gentlemen and I am so grateful he made his way to me. 14/10 no bias at all

You're the main character in a cheesy horror movie. What's the thing that is your movie's "Chekhov's gun"? Something about you, your surroundings, or your life, that seems inconsequential now, but will be the thing that saves you at the end of the movie?

Grief and the brain are so weird. My mom's been dead for 6 years and yet, walking into the bookstore this morning to do holiday shopping, my brain went "and which book should we find for her?" It's not like I forget. But these little glitchy moments never seem to go away.

Ya know those movies you love and rewatch over and over, even though they're not super rewatchable?? Love that shit. I'm currently watching The Day After Tomorrow. It sucks but I love it.

What's your movie that isn't great but you love it anyway??

My meatball mix was too moist. They cooked halfway through and collapsed into meatdomes. I flipped them over, tried to form them into balls again. I cooked them the rest of the way but all that accomplished was a full collapse into meatflats. Dinner tonight is Spaghetti and Hamburgers.
