So uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah the downtrodden have lost another lever for which to hold power accountable and I suspect this will lead to even greater wealth disparity (if you can believe it...)

What this means is uh. Well. In the past when bad times were hitting the poor, everyone did end up suffering. The large swathe of spending pullback resulted in a recession.

That... basically doesn't seem to be true anymore. The suffering of the poor can be siloed exclusively to the poor

As someone who works in finance and a degree in economics, I don't think it's fully understood what has happened over the last 40 years but mostly the last 10 or so.

It was recently published that the top 10% account for about half of the spending in the economy and the bottom spend less 1/?

27. Phantom Dust

This game is a 10/10 in concept...in practice closer to an 8. It has a really cool aesthetic, story and the gameplay is unique and addictive. Holding it back is its lack of budget and general grindiness, but it's not completely dire. Feels like a dreamcast game in the best way

I will say, while Nuts and Bolts is disappointing, I did end up enjoying it. The humour was still kind of there and the vehicle creation was honestly ahead of its time - Tears of the Kingdom can attest to that.

I first played it at a demo kiosk in my local store and remember dying to the orange throwing ape.

I got the game and my 6 year old brain did not comprehend how the talon trot really worked and so I ended up stuck in Mumbo's Mountain for days, since you need to use it to progress to the next area.

As a kid, these were my icons. I distinctly remember waking up early and getting time to mostly just walk around Mumbo Mountain. My mum would scold me because the pause screen had a timer and she assumed it was how long I had been playing that morning, and not just total time in the level 😅
