Museums are houses of things.

But each object contains the memories and lifetimes of the people who made, used and cared for them—sometimes over generations—and there are moments when we see them resurface in ways we could never anticipate.

Isn't it a little dark in here, said Old Fox, won't you come & join us in the meadow? I've had enough of summer, said Wolf, I want the North wind & syrup cake & bonfires in the orchard & blackberry jam & Michaelmas daisies & the geese all a-skeining in the mist.

I don't know who needs to hear this, everyone I think, but if you send a PDF to your kindle and put 'convert' as the subject it will change it to epub format for you, you're welcome

(I posted this on the other place and was surprised by how many people it helped so thought I'd do it here too.)

A number of artists and creators have made their home on Bluesky, and we hear their concerns with other platforms training on their data. We do not use any of your content to train generative AI, and have no intention of doing so.

Please, if you are able, support Independent bookshops.

They are the literary & social hubs of our high streets and communities.

Without their continued support, we simply wouldn't be around to publish .

Thank you.

Babcia enjoyed her trips to the village shop very much. She liked to find little treats for her family: Pine Marten's custard creams, Old Fox's film magazines & Wolf's Rowntree’s Chocolate Crisps. For herself, she bought French coffee & copies of the German newspapers they occasionally stocked.
