Presumably, this will continue to apply to CG civilians but not AD/Reserves. The Coast Guard should not be reporting to Musk and OPM - they are not in the chain of command. Supervisors & department heads, now is the time to protect and support your civilian direct reports.

Walking away from the Human Rights Council leaves a void that will be filled
The United States again leaves the only multilateral venue dedicated to addressing human rights abuses, allowing bad actors to set the terms.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk, with this blitzkrieg, are killing people. All the Republicans in Congress are accomplices. And Trump voters bear responsibility for this, too.

I welcome the reminder. This truly helped me start today with the best mindset.
Hello friends. Let’s start this morning off with a pep talk.
The overwhelm, confusion, and fear you’re feeling is what they want you to feel. They want you helpless, hopeless, and paralyzed. Do not take their intimidation and do not give them your joy.

“This is what happens when ideology replaces expertise. And if history is any guide, this may not be the last such tragedy as Republicans insist on devaluing human life at the altar of deregulation—an injustice corporate media rarely addresses. But we will.”
Trump blames diversity for the air collision—but the receipts show he proudly deregulated the FAA. He blames Black, brown, & disabled people to to avoid accountability (& because he's racist/ableist).

In a just world he'd resign for his bigotry & incompetence: www.qasimrashid.com/p/racist-pre...

Clearing the cobwebs before I dive in… and once everything is cleaned up in here, watch out. Haha. Immensely appreciative of the independent, reliable journalism I’m finding here. And cute critters.
