New poem published in Magma Poetry
Whoops! I nearly forgot to tell you... The poem is called “Halicephalobus Mephisto or Dirt Divinations” and it’s about a worm under pressure. The Seafarer is a poem from the Exeter Book, a 10th century codex of Old English which sprang from a project of monastic reform and restabilisation following a long period Viking attacks and the subsequent disrepair of Christian places and their spiritual practices. The poem is mostly secular with a religious addition, possibly added later, at the end. The Seafarer…

Look at this chart and remember:
1) the COVID immune damage claim is that after a COVID infection, influenza gets worse
vs
2) the "immunity debt" claim is that after a bad influenza season, influenza gets better
Now look at how 2022-23 compares to previous years, and ask "Which claim was right?"

Public buildings will be increasingly important as cool, safe gathering places during heatwaves and other extreme weather events, which people (mostly the global rich) are making more frequent and severe through climate change, largely by burning fossil fuels.
