I had to say goodbye to a new employee this summer because she was not working when she said she was; she also decided that she could WFH suddenly. DOL asked if I told her she would be fired for doing that. No, isn't it a *reasonable* expectation to have without having to tell someone?

Then I get a call at 3:45 yesterday, voicemail saying I have two days to talk to them. THAT PERSON IS APPARENTLY NEVER AROUND. I've called back 3x.

I had to terminate an employee for cause. They filed for unemployment. Idaho. Dept. of Labor sent me a form letter about it WITH THE INCORRECT FAX NUMBER FOR SENDING MATERIALS.

Defense lawyer today kept saying the cases I cited don’t say what I said they did. While I’m reading them into the record. It was wild. I wanted to stop and have her explain why they don’t say WHAT THEY SAY.
