Western gulls. The SAND is an arctic breeder, flying up to 10,000 miles during its migration. To bring things full circle, my sister currently has a pet snake, a lovely boa named Parker; she became more of a herpetologist than I ever would be, while I fell in love with #birds like these Sanderlings!
