Authors filing for claim on the Anthropic list: did any of you find a publisher called Zondervan 'claiming' to be a publisher of their works (illigitimately?) I had never heard of them; never signed with them. My agent said the only outfit he knew of with that name published religious books. WTF??

Publishers hold right to PUBLISH the work. Not to 'create based on' books they have licensed.

Creators deserve the entire settlement, because they are the ones affected/they did the brain WORK for AI scraping; the licensed text is NOT replicated.

Somebody explain this to me:

UK has pages and pages of instruction on 'how to file for copyright registration' in the UK, but NO way I could find to 'search' if this step was completed.

UK Publisher's legal response (when questioned): "No registration filing required here, copyright is a RIGHT."
