🧵 A chance comment in a post has led me down a rabbit warren of Interactive Fiction memories, floppy diskettes, and apps on modern devices.

I wonder who’s actually buying these elections and what sort of percentage figures they like. We love a good “90% of the votes were for my guy!”

Used by 27 states suggests there are alternatives, though I guess 'these ones' will become 'very popular' IYKWIM 😜

🎧 The one where @scowlerwilson.bsky.social holds forth on platforming games, and I am here for it.

I’m less keen on combat heavy games because I just mash buttons, but leaping from here to there and exploring - “just how do I get to that?” is something I really enjoy.
