It's insane to me that an entire "AI aesthetic" was born out of a sense of nostalgia people feel for poorly photographed unrestored oil paintings with yellowed varnish. Because oil paintings are yellow, right? Just...because.

hallucinations caused by gas, radiation, meteorite magnetic fields etc. (or more amusingly - as animals like clams or centipedes puppeteering dead bodies) And this evolved, we used to get tons of these tomb shows and now only one or two a year seem to pass censorship. Games might be different still.

But in a clearly mythological setting, especially one that stems from China's own myths and portrays the greatness of Chinese mythology - that's completely fine. I watch a lot of tomb raiding dramas and while the oldest ones had actual zombies, in the newer ones they're often explained away as
