I am running for Washington County District 4 Commissioner! Learn more about me at VoteAnthonyMartin.com
Spent time tonight at Indivisible Forest Grove Oregon's candlelight vigil. People are afraid and it felt good to be around community. The impact of ICE in our community is so disruptive, and I strongly believe that ICE should cease its operations in Oregon and Minnesota.

“We must learn to live together as brothers or we will perish as fools.” – MLK Jr.
I’m lucky to have the day off and spent it honoring MLK Jr. with service. Helped Hillsboro FFA members prep for their Spaghetti Bingo event on April 18 and then tackled neighborhood litter cleanup.

I'm monitoring first awful reports of two people shot in Portland by federal law enforcement. I'll keep you updated, but Trump's deployment of federal agents in my hometown is clearly inflaming violence — and must end.

The killing of Renee Good is unacceptable and a frightening escalation of ICE abuse of powers.

Yesterday I toured Family Promise of Tualatin Valley down in Tigard. The County must continue being a strong partner for organizations that support the most vulnerable. Thanks a ton to Carol for the tour!

I wrote a post about the current economic landscape and how the County can make our community a place with greater economic mobility, opportunity, and stability.

This weekend, the family went to M&M Marketplace to donate items for their toy drive. Then, we went to our local park and had fun throwing around tennis balls for our puppy. Being a member of a community means supporting those in need while also benefiting from local amenities.

My daughter and I spent today on the Salmonberry Trail as part of their #optoutside event. An 82-mile trail that goes through District 4 in Washington County, this project is driven by passionate volunteers for a great cause! salmonberrytrail.org

Don’t forget to exercise your constitutional right to vote! I support the County’s library and public safety levies because we need financially stable community libraries and funding for things like domestic violence prevention and the Mental Health Response Team.

Tonight I learned about Forest Grove's 2040 Vision Plan at the Community Open House. Bringing community together to create a future where everyone can thrive is critical because our communities are made better by working together in the same direction.

I traveled to the East Coast for a wedding this weekend. I went to the No Kings protest in Philadelphia, it was powerful to chant 'No Kings' where the constitution was signed. Then, I visited some friends and family in DC and found a great quote at the FDR memorial.

My daughter and I celebrated HillsDOer Day together this year! An annual day of service for everyone, it's a great way to help out and be in community at the same time.

There is no insurrection. There is no threat to national security. There is no need or legal justification for military troops in our major city.
