Did CBS just forget to pull the episode from Canadian rebroadcasters or had they already signed the rights away in some way that they couldn’t revoke?

What a dick. 😡😡😡 I’m glad the Canadian ❤️ kept his cool and recorded it.

Good.
5/8 The complaints extend beyond pricing.

In Ontario, distillers blast the LCBO for retroactive penalties on suppliers who don't offer the lowest price in Canada.

They warn this could force some U.S. producers out of Canada's largest market entirely.

💯
#cdnpoli Canadians don't need to make Americans & their media look silly. No one can do a better job than Americans & their media are already doing. It's a special kind of silly to destroy one's country & economy & choose an intellectually deficient, mentally unbalanced, convicted felon as leader
The @theatlantic.com claims that Canadians will use "treachery" to make America and its media look "silly".
No, we are a democratic people who hate thugs and their pusillanimous enablers.
Deal with it.

I think if you read the Global TV response, they simply aired the file they were given. It's either the utter incompetence of CBS to send the full episode file, or someone at that end did it on purpose.
I think many misread Canadian intent here. Sure, they’ll poke the bear if given the stick, but it was also a public service to their crazy downstairs neighbors.

For sure, too many Canadians still travelling to the US. This should stop. Unless there is a specific reason, like wedding, funeral, work, there really is no reason to go to the hellhole.
This treacherous Canadian wishes a peaceful Christmas to my fellow treacherous and nasty Canadians.

We did good this year, but we have so far to go.

Or maybe it has to do with the fact that even if we shut down everything in this country that created GHGs, the impact on global warming would be next to nothing. However, supplanting coal & oil fired generation with LNG, that has a huge global impact. Thought about properly, it's a win-win.
"What's behind the pullback on policy and why is Canadian progress on tackling climate change so slow? Put simply, it’s because climate action threatens the profits of the fossil-fuel industry, and they’ve spent the past 50 years doing everything they can to prevent it."
Fossil-fuel propaganda is stalling climate action. Here’s what we can do about it.
New research highlights the role of fossil-fuel industry propaganda and suggests strategies to tackle false narratives about fossil fuels.

Since when are the really stupid (obviously) voters in red states like Kentucky innocent bystanders? They voted for this garbage. They can now live with the consequences. I really don't give a crap about them, pretty much as they don't give a crap about us.
Some people are finding out everything is connected to everything else the hard way. The gop & 34 count convicted felon are fully responsible for this mess. OTP vp
Don’t blame us, the felon caused this when he said he wanted to annex #Canada #FAFO #Boycott

You said you did not need us 😏

Canada’s ‘boycott America’ movement is hurting innocent bystanders

I read somewhere recently that the embargo on Belarus has been lifted by Trump, which has many megatons of potash as well. So again, it's a Trump bend to Putin at the cost of us.
/2 The U.S. "does not have sufficient reserves to meet domestic demand," Fertilizer Canada said, noting American farmers used 5.3 million tons of potash in 2023 while the country produced about 400,000 tons

I do not understand why anyone would visit the US right now! You're feeding the fascists. Unless there is a dire need, stay away. We're in Europe now, having a great time not worrying about getting shot walking down the street or getting arrested & sent off to a concentration camp.
As a Canadian visiting the US I have observed how difficult it is to converse with a MAGA type. They seem angry, uninformed or misinformed, and have zero interest in listening to a different point of view.
Don't know how they will ever become rational.
December 22, 2025 at 9:33 PM
And there in lies the rub. For almost a year now all we've heard is sorry. At first that's fine. But for a good 6 months, it's gotten old. As the poster said, Americans need to show some real intestinal fortitude and get on with doing something! You're loosing your country to fascists. Fix that!
As the final lines say, it most likely is due to the Canadian boycott.

There is power in boycotts. We just don't have the same intestinal fortitude that Canadians do.

True, but if enough folks get these text messages and respond positively, then vote against him, it might make a difference. Tactic is to get him to have another election.
That would require people to actually show up to vote 🫤
December 21, 2025 at 8:39 AM
Maybe we should all say yes, then when an election is called, vote no. Stick it to him.
I just got a text message from "Emily," asking if Doug Ford and the PC Ontario Fund could count on my support. I was very descriptive and expletive in the all caps instructions of my reply.

Is Ford planning to buy another election in 2026?

Make a road trip to the Niagara Region and stop by some wineries. They all have tastings. Or go to the VQA store on Queen St. in Niagara On The Lake. Several of them have set up in shop there and you can taste & buy.
December 20, 2025 at 9:47 PM
That's nice, but it way past the point where you Americans need to DO something about this idiocy. Stop apologizing, we do it better in Canada. Get on with ditching the entire right wing party of sycophants from the bottom up!
December 20, 2025 at 9:34 PM
So do Canadians. I avoid home depot like the plague. Rona, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware and local stores have more than enough of what's needed.

Have yet to meet anyone who admits to voting for him. Suggests there must be something smarmy going on.
December 12, 2025 at 6:31 PM
True that.
And when Venezuela retaliates, people in Florida will be scrambling and begging for help to get home.
December 12, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Unfortunately I know many who aren't smart and are indeed going to Florida and Arizona. Just can't cure stupid.
Most Canadians aren't stupid and know when to stay away from a fascist USA.
